In order to set up Google Analytics tracking, you need to have a custom domain setup for your shop.To set up Google Analytics tracking on your shop. First, go to your Google Analytics Dashboard and then click on Admins Tab.
In the property section, click on the Data Streams option and then choose Web as a platform. In the property section, click on the Data Streams option and then choose Web as a platform.
Type in the website URL and the stream name and click on Create Stream button.
Now you can see the stream name, URL, ID, and measurement ID. Copy the measurement ID.
Head to the SHOPS Admin area and paste the Google Measurement ID into the general settings page.
